First of all, I’d like to introduce this section, I call it brain dumps.... This is exactly what it sounds like, a place that I will go for my brain to do a dump and get a load off it. All my rants and raves will come from here.

The internet, manipulation?

Any budding webmaster will soon learn that what he has to do to get searched is manipulate his page to the way people are searching their keywords. So if someone is looking a black pen they will put into Google Black Pen. The searcher gets 7,430,000 results with 315,000 sites actually bidding on that term. So what's the chances of getting to the top? Very unlikely unless a large budget and a heap of spare time. So you might want to go for a lesser keyword, how about Cheap Black Pen? Well the results certainly reduce 1,520,000 with only 20 sites bidding on that term.

So what do I do? I change my site and put cheap infront of my keyword and I have manipulated the results even though my pens ar the same as before I have got of the ladder and into the Googl results. Just remember the next time you are searching for something it is really the website has included that bit of text on their page and not that they are selling that product.
